THIS IS ME

GHETTO MUVA

Ghetto Muva is an American soul singer and songwriter with a deep-rooted passion for music. Her sound is most compared to musical icons such as, Jill Scott, India Arie, Smino, Her and SZA. She is heavily influence by Anita Banker, Earth Wind and Fire, and Michael Jackson but with a modern twist. Many often ask “what does Ghetto Muva mean” and she always respond, “A person from an oppressed neighborhood who wants to own it and fight for the equality of my people”! Despite her intense childhood, she began her music journey at an early age pursuing her love for theatre and Broadway plays and realized she wanted to pursue her music career even further. Although her dreams were to be the big stage, she had a short stint with the law and had to serve 3 months in jail. While in jail, the guards would allow her and the other inmates to perform at talent show where she would win every time. The inmates encouraged her to pursue her dream, so she hit the road and moved to Atlanta, GA to take her singing more seriously. She decided to drop her very first mixtape on mymixtapez.com, gaining her fans across the world. With the recent found fame she had her first listening session at street execs studios (2 Chainz studio) with Bank Roll and DJ Kutt Throat in attendance. By this time people in the music industry started recognizing who Ghetto Muva was. From collaborating with local artists to mainstream artists, even songwriting for upcoming artists, she made a small impact within her music community. She is currently working hard to release her new anticipated single “4 The Streets”. The single is set to take her career to the next level. She has been in the studio constantly working on new music.
